Muay Thai is nothing like any other martial art, so learning it is totally different than learning any other art.

What makes Muay Thai so different is that it is both a martial art AND a fight sport.  This means that the most rare and sacred gems of knowledge in Muay Thai are usually learned in the ring.  They are details that are so small they can be invisible even on tape if you don’t already know them. They are details that are often learned after a lot of pain and sacrifice. This can make a lot of fighters very secretive about their best techniques.  (It certainly did that for me.)

The fact that I had to bleed for my best secrets made me want to hold them very close to me for many years and only allow people who are deserving to even see them.  What I realized though is that doing that isn’t necessary because even if I give everyone access, only 15% will even take advantage.  Out of those that take advantage only the top 5% will train with true seriousness and put in the practice necessary to internalize these techniques so that they can perform them at a high level on an at-will basis.  That top 5% are those deserving few that I had hoped to pass these skills along to anyway.

AskChike has something for everyone for every level of Muay Thai regardless of what you’re looking to get out of it, but for that top 5% I’m using this site to pass along my best techniques that I used to try to keep secret.  I truly hope you enjoy it and Chok Dee in your Muay Thai journey!

Who is Chike Lindsay Anyway?

I’m Chike Lindsay and I’m an enigma, wrapped in a mystery, wrapped in a delicious sesame seed bun. Actually, I’m not nearly that complicated.  My fight name is “Vicious Croc.”  I began training at the age of 10 years old and started fighting in 2003. Since then I’ve fought some of the best fighters from all over the world and to show for it I’ve got 8 championship belts that I use to add a splash of color to my living room wall.  I’ve also got an Electrical Engineering degree from Georgia Tech so maybe it’s that analytical educational background that’s allowed me to also master many aspects of Muay Thai that go beyond just fighting including:

  • Stamina Improvement
  • Strength/Mass Gaining
  • Dieting
