If you want to use a washing machine, your handwraps will always get tangled. The good news is them getting tangled isn’t the real problem; getting them tangled with everything else in the wash IS. There are two techniques that work best to mitigate this. The first method is to use a mesh lingerie bag. (If you’re a woman then here is one of your great advantages over men in Muay Thai) Place your handwraps in the lingerie bag and they’ll only tangle with each other, not with the rest of your wash. The second method is to place your handwraps inside of socks. (One handwrap per sock.) The downside of method two is that your handwraps will still eventually come out of the sock and tangle, but they won’t tangle half as much since they’ll be inside the sock for a good portion of the wash. The longer the sock the longer the wrap will stay in and the less it will be tangled when it eventually gets out.
